Just had my daughter at Children’s Hospital twice in the last couple weeks–reminds me that this is the time of year to give Child’s Play a plug. If you are looking for a worthwhile charity to be generous to, look no further.
Last week was the opening for the BFA Thesis Exhibit at SIUE, and I went to see the work of one of my former students. Fantastic stuff. At times like this it feels good to be an art teacher. I get these occasional brushes with greatness, and even though I can’t take credit for her prodigious talent or drive, at least I had the opportunity to witness some of its development.
I hope to have another update before Christmas, but if I don’t, I hope you have a Merry Christmas. Also, if you were celebrating Hanukkah last week, I hope it was happy.
PS – I hate drawing vehicles, and have unfortunately scripted myself a long string of pages featuring this SUV. Ugh.
PPS – I really don’t think I have enough readers to sell stuff, but I thought I’d just throw out the question here to check. If I would offer the original artwork for the Moose Riders (or anything else, for that matter) for sale, would I get any takers? No big deal, but I just thought I’d try to get a little extra Christmas cash if possible.
